I went to the Metzingen Outlet last Friday and this is what I got:
- A white cardigan from Tommy Hilfiger (77 EUR)
- A teal dress from Max Mara for my other friend's wedding (104 EUR)
I have bought tons of white cardigans from H&M, Zara and who knows what... but they've always been of bad quality. Now I'm trying out this one from Tommy Hilfiger and just from touching and wearing it, I think it's much better than my other white cardigans. I'll let you know, how the washing turns out...
I was too unsure of the other dress' color << click >> for my friend's wedding in August that I decided to buy this gorgeous teal dress. I just wonder about how I'll pair it (white / black / brown ?)... but there's still more time to decide.
A groom's haul:
Unfortunately I can't show you my friends' hauls - one of them is going to be a groom in June and bought his suit for the wedding. It's chocolate brown with a champagne shirt, a beige tie and pocket square as well as chocolate brown shoes and belt. He's even got cuff links :)
His bride's dress is champagne / off-white. I wonder how she will like his suit because she demanded a champagne one but didn't give him a swatch of the actual color and wouldn't it look odd to have them both wear champagne, especially it it the colors were slightly off? His suit from René Lezard is stunning - I wished I made a picture.
Since she has been bugging him so much about the wedding, he's not going to show her the suit until they get married... It's just fair, he doesn't get to see her dress either, right?
His best man got a black suit for the wedding with violet tie, pocket square and cuff links.
For me it was interesting to see the other side's view about wedding shopping ˆ-ˆ

Weddings...
This year is all about marriage...
Not only my two best friends whose weddings I'm soooo looking forward to right now. Even my roommates have started their relationship with a special kind of promissing commitment... After four months of relationship, the girl is looking for wedding dresses and table decoration and doesn't ever forget to ask when they are finally going to be married. Daily question (!) and he's all into it, just without ever popping out THE question.
What a great match! I'm going to run and hide (duck and cover)... Judgmental as I am, I think she's got something to hide. Boy, you better have a wedding contract!

The almost perfect apartment...
I'm looking for a new apartment. So far I've just seen two... the first was okay but the house was a mess. Who would share his washing machine with 20+ people? Uhh... disgusting!
Anyway, the second was more or less perfect - it's in the right neighborhood, the price is ok, it has a beautiful balcony, two rooms, laminate floor, a small kitchen (it runs on gas...ˆ-ˆ). The only downside is that I would have to stay for 2 more years which I can't garantee at this point. It's also why I don't wanna pay commission to an agent...
I'm so sad I can't rent that place because I fell in love with the appartment, right when I went through that door...

Outfit #12 + Makeup: Color Blocking
Ever since I've seen these bright colored pants on other bloggers, I've thought about buying some on my own... I found some really great ones in pink in the Dominican Republic for only 10€. Even there, they're made in China ^.^ Anyway, I first only intended to wear them for my dance events but I soon got the hang of it and decided to wear them in my daily life as well...
I wore this outfit for a dinner party at my friend's house.
As I mentioned, the pants are from the Dominican Republic (10€), the top from Amisu (10€), the cardigan from Forever 18 (14€) and the pumps are from Buffalo (69€).
For the makeup, I wanted a bright lipstick to go with my pants, so I decided to wear Revlon Colorburst #045 Raspberry. Therefore, the eye-makeup is rather simple - black eyeliner and mascara. I also didn't use too much blush and bronzer to keep it simple and clean.
But to contrast the pink, I still decided not to repaint my nails and kept P2 #590 Who cares. Since I only colorblocked the pink with a hint of turqoise on my nails, it's not over the top but still fun for spring time. Looking at the pictures now, I think it would be nice to wear turqoise earrings as well. Maybe next time ˆ-ˆ
But how about you, how do you like color blocking? Go or No-Go?

As you might know now, I absolutely love bright colors. I still think, one has to be careful with color blocking because it's not about wearing any bright colors together but about being more courageous about colors and make them unite in one outfit. For me, it's a fun spring and summer trend ˆ.ˆ

Flan
This is one of my favorite desserts. It's simple and easy although it looks really fancy and of course it's absolutely delicious.
We need the following ingredients for 12 little muffin cups (mine are made of silicon):
My tip:
Use silicon muffin cups because it's easier to clean when there is caramel residue.
If you don't have any, you can always use a small casserole instead. The advantage will be that there won't be as much residue for some reason, but the downside is that it doesn't look as fancy.

Follow these instructions:
- Beat the eggs with an electric whisk.
- Add 4 tbs sugar and the vanilla sugar.
- Slowly add the milk and stir until everything is creamy.
- Meanwhile lightly heat the other 6 tbs sugar in a sauce pan until it's caramelized but be careful it shouldn't be too dark.
- Put one tbs of caramel into each muffin cup, add the egg milk as above.
- Use a big casserole to make a water bath for the flan.
- Cover it with aluminum foil.
- Leave it in the oven for 1 hour at 200*C.

Outfit #11 + Make-Up: Greek Lunch with friends
So this was my casual lunch outfit. I went to a Greek restaurant with my friends. I love teal and turquoise colors but sometimes it can easily look tacky - like ugly bridesmaid dresses with puff sleeves - just as bad as pink puffy dresses that make you look like Miss Piggy. Anyway, I try to avoid that ^.^
The tank top is from H&M (~5€), the pants from Amisu, sandals from the Dominican Republic (3€), the necklace is from Forever 21 from my Chicago haul << click >> and the coconut belt was a present from my boyfriend. The nail polish is from P2, a drugstore brand from Germany (#590 who cares?).
I thought it would be nice to pair the outfit with a turquoise eye makeup. Btw, I absolutely adore the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I've got three different colors and they are long lasting, beautiful, pigmented, everything I could ask for... I would just love to have a cream matte color, there's only a white sparkly one. When my Essence eye soufflé in #01 dance the swan lake is used up, I'll buy it anyway because the Essence one was from a limited edition.
So here are my makeup products.
I always set my eye liners with eye shadow or powder because of my Asian eye form. It's not really monolid but still the crease is quite close to the eye which smears out every eye liner without additional help.

The Long Night of Museums
I went to the event two weeks ago. Shame on me, it took me so long to write this blog post. I didn't take too many pictures but here's the "Studentenkarzer" from the University of Heidelberg - it was a prison for students who stayed for a duration of 1 day to 1 month. Every time I came to this place, it was closed but this time I was lucky - especially because it was already dark and mysterious... It's perfect for this kind of museum.
The variety that was offered was insane: Not only museums, but also tons of events from music to dance to theater...
Here's Lorenzo Guillén and his band << click >> at Treffpunkt Kunst at Untere Str. 21 << click >>. They play Latinamerican music like salsa, merengue, bachata, chachacha, rumba, etc. It always lifts my mood. My boyfriend also plays some percussions with them every now and then, as during this event. Lolo is such a funny person - you should meet him in person! He's a great musician, too, of course.
The art in the background was from a Mexican artist. Btw, look at the floor!! Isn't it beautiful? What a great idea for an individual floor... I love it!

Silk Tofu in Oyster Sauce
Although I'm Asian, there are it too many ways that I like tofu but this is one of them. It is absolutely delicious and also healthy!!! Since it's fresh and easy, it's perfect for spring.
I can barely call it recipe because it's so easy...
About 250 kcal.
- Take silk tofu which is ready to eat without cooking.
- Chop spring onions into small pieces and place them on the tofu.
- Put oyster sauce into a small cup (2 spoons), add water (2 spoons) and sugar (1 spoon). Mix it and pour it over the tofu.
About 250 kcal.
